2021, What a Year…

December 2021

Many of you know the saying, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” For those of you that suffered family tragedies or had your businesses decimated by the ongoing pandemic our prayers and thoughts go out to you. For those of you that were able to pivot your businesses and continue to find success in this challenging environment, we take our hats off to you!

2022, as my Grandmother would say, “Only good things…” I pray the world gains control of the pandemic, that our friends and family remain healthy, and that our country can find a middle ground where we come together in peace and brotherhood with our fellow Americans.

What do I think is going to happen? My opinion on the world isn’t any better than anyone else’s so I’ll keep my mouth shut. EXCEPT FOR TAXES: I suspect that at some point in 2022 that the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance will order its employees back to the office and then there will be a massive wave of new audits, assessments, letters, and collection activity.

If the past 2 years have disrupted your record keeping, filings, and business processes – let’s have a conversation about what to do, so when the taxman knocks on your door, you’ll be ready. Let’s make sure that 2022 goes right and that there are no more nasty surprises, and no more sales tax assessments!

At Sales Tax Defense LLC, rather than sending cards and gifts to our clients at this time of the year the Firm is making several generous charitable contributions to various organizations that have helped all of us survive this Zombie Apocalypse that we have being living through. But we don’t want you, our client, our friend, our business partner, to feel left out.

So, I ask each of you to save the date of Friday, June 3, 2022, where I hope to be able to buy each of you a shot of Tequila for a very special celebration.
